Grove Hill Medical Center is one of the largest health care providers in New Britain comprising of 19 different specialties and over 60+ doctors. Its website had become very outdated. It was difficult to navigate, completely static with no dynamic content, no database capabilities, and no way to make any modifications without modifying hundreds of lines of code. Grove Hill came to us looking for a completely new website that would reflect the fast-growing, dynamic, and cutting edge organization that it is.
Our goal was to build a completely database-driven website that Grove Hill could easily maintain and frequently update on its own with maximum flexibility and minimal tech support. We started by creating a separate administrative back end for each of the 19 specialties, giving each department control of its own corner of the site. Then we created a searchable database of physicians that generates a complete profile for each doctor on staff. All of the content on the site can be modified at any time by the client itself with easy to use administrative tools, saving time and money by elimintating the need to contact the webmaster for support. The new site also includes an internal system accessible only by medical center staff to provide online administrative support, a feature not available in any form on the previous site. The whole package comes bundled behind a sleek, modern, easy to navigate user interface.
